Report: Stars who left their teams in free agency this summer

London: The summer transfer market has officially opened at the beginning of July and many stars have signed contracts with their clubs.

Many stars are now free to start a new career in other clubs.

In this report we will present here the big names who left their clubs in the summer market.

Raphael Varane (Man United -> without club)

Raphael Varane was a fantastic player when he was fit to play for Man United but injury problems overshadowed his time at Old Trafford.

The former Real Madrid star has been heavily linked with a move to newly promoted Serie A side Como, with Fabregas as their current coach.

Thiago Silva (Chelsea -> Fluminense):

Thiago Silva was expected to leave Chelsea on a free transfer last summer, but opted to sign a one-year contract extension to stay at the Blues until 2024.

There was talk of a further deal, however the Brazilian chose to leave the club and returned to his former club Fluminense.

Memphis Depay (Atletico Madrid -> without club):

Memphis Depay has played for many European clubs in his career and has played for PSV Eindhoven, Man Utd, Lyon, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid during his career.

The Dutch star will once again join another club after his contract with Atletico Madrid expired.

Thiago Alcantara (Liverpool -> without club):

Five minutes against Arsenal in February was Thiago Alcantara’s only appearance during the 2023-24 season, with the Liverpool man unable to shake off a host of injury issues.

Sergio Ramos (Sevilla -> No team):

Sergio Ramos rejoined Sevilla in September 2023, but his time at the Spanish club has already come to an end after his contract expired.

Anthony Martial (Man Utd -> No Club):

After showing a lot of promise in the early years of his Man Utd career, Anthony Martial’s time at Old Trafford failed miserably as he was plagued by injuries until he left the club.

Adrien Rabiot (Juventus -> No Team):

Adrien Rabiot has made it a habit to sign a one-year contract extension with Juventus, so even though his current contract expires, the French international may stay in Turin for another 12 months.

If he leaves, European clubs will be interested, with Man Utd and Real Madrid both monitoring his situation, according to reports
